Meet Robin Katrick

Founder and Principal Consultant

I am a dynamic public health professional with a robust background in primary and universal prevention, community development, and strategic program implementation. Over the course of my career, I have dedicated myself to fostering partnerships and driving sustainable change, mainly through supporting diverse communities worldwide in applying evidence-based prevention strategies to strengthen public health initiatives. My mission is to empower leaders, organizations, and communities to create long-term, meaningful impact.

My journey in community development and public health began on the ground, volunteering in rural Costa Rica and Haiti, where I focused on youth development, education, sustainability, and clean water initiatives. These experiences sparked my passion for holistic, community-centered solutions and shaped the trajectory of my career. After earning a Bachelor of Arts in Community Development, I worked in community mental health before expanding my expertise into public health.

My career has spanned various roles, including designing state-level employee wellness programs, developing community health promotion and primary prevention initiatives at a medical center, and leading a statewide pilot project focused on adapting international prevention research—drawing on strategies from the Icelandic Prevention Model (IPM)—to fit local context. Most recently, I served as an advisor and regional director at Planet Youth, a global public health organization based in Iceland. In that role, I supported communities around the world in adapting the Icelandic Prevention Model, strengthening their prevention strategies, and building systems for long-term health and resilience.

I earned my Master’s Degree in Public Health from the University of Vermont and have built a reputation as a problem solver, innovative thinker, and facilitative leader. My creative background enhances my ability to craft compelling strategies and communication tools that resonate with diverse audiences, inspiring action and collaboration across local, national, and international platforms.

When I’m not working, I love spending time outdoors, hiking with my dog, gardening, and exploring nature. I’m also passionate about photography, a creative pursuit I’ve been developing since high school, which continues to fuel my perspective and appreciation for the world around me.

Let’s work together to create solutions that empower communities, foster resilience, and drive impactful, lasting change!
